Wayne Rooney Completes Transfer back to Everton after 13 years at Manchester United


After 13 successful years and winning 16 trophies with Manchester United, Wayne Rooney has returned to his boyhood club, Everton FC.  Rooney played a total of 559 competitive matches and broke the club goalscoring record previously set by Sir Bobby Charlton by scoring 253 goals, four more than the legendary Charlton, also breaking the goalscoring record for England, again beating that by four goals.

Tennis star, Venus Williams found Guilty and at Fault in Fatal Auto crash in Florida


37-year-old, Seven time Tennis Grand Slam champion, Venus Williams has been declared responsible for a fatal car accident that occured on the 9th of June in Florida, which lead to injuries and subsequent death of 78-year-old Jerome Barson who was a passenger in the other vehicle driven by his wife. The family has since filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Williams, alleging negligence.

Real Madrid and Portugal star footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo now has an international airport named after him in his native town, Madeira island in Portugal. The official ceremony was graced with dozens of guests including the president and prime minister of Portugal, as well as hundreds of happy fans where the airport in Madeira was renamed as Aeroporto Cristiano Ronaldo. Samson Siasia Threatens NFF Over Unpaid Salary

Coach Samson Siasia who recently trained the football team that won the just concluded Rio Olympics and also Bronze winning coach has given the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF a two weeks ultimatum to settle all his unpaid salaries and threatens to sit in the NFF’s Abuja office until he’s paid.

Siasia, haven signed a two year contract deal with the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF which ended after  the Olympics games at Rio in Brazil. He was able to bring home a Bronze medal at but has complained that he was owed five months salary.

Below was what he said…

“I have given them a two-week ultimatum to me pay me or I will sit inside the NFF office in Abuja until I get paid,” Siasia told BBC Sports.
